Following the delivery of your baby, regardless of the method, requires special care and attention. Your body grew and changed for as many as nine months, and with all those changes, your body went through the process of delivery! You will never regret giving yourself the gift of Pelvic Health and care during your postpartum period. Whether you are 2 days, 12 weeks, or 15 years postpartum, pursue the care you deserve. Remember, just because something is “common” for Moms doesn’t make it “normal”.
Common POstpartum Conditions
Commonly treated conditions during the postpartum journey may include:
- Low Back Pain
- Diastasis Rectus Abdominis (separation of the abdominal wall)
- Perineal Tears/Injuries
- Pelvic Pain/SIJ Pain
- Urinary Dysfunction (leakage, urgency, frequency, etc.)
- Bowel Dysfunction (constipation, leakage, pain w/ BM, etc.)
- Sexual Dysfunction (pain with penetration)
Postpartum Package
Deciding when to begin your own care during postpartum may feel overwhelming. Our goal is to make that decision easier for you with our Postpartum Package.
This package can be purchased during your pregnancy in anticipation of your postpartum journey. It is designed to assist you in regaining function and independence following your delivery, and as you move into increasing activity.
This package includes four treatments over your first 8 weeks postpartum, designed to slowly integrate you back into movement and activity, and providing a thorough examination of your pelvic floor, once you are ready (and medically cleared by your provider)! It also includes a PDF download of our Postpartum Planner, which includes Additional Resource material tailored for the Postpartum Mother. All services provided by a Licensed Physical Therapist, with a specialty certification in Pelvic Health.
